Description:
In this tutorial you will learn how to use a displacement map to simulate an invisible man.
You will also learn how to animate an object using the transform filter instead of motion tracking.

STEP ONE:Open foreground and background footage.

Import background.avi and foreground.avi into your project

 

Note the length of the clips. In this project the clips are 18 frames long apiece.

Create a new composition and set the duration to 0;00;00;18. Use the same settings as below.



Click OK.

Drag background.avi into your new composition, then drag in foreground.avi. Make sure FOREGROUND.AVI is in layer 1.

STEP TWO:Create a mask.

Select the FOREGROUND.AVI layer and create a new mask by going to LAYER> MASK> NEW MASK



Double click on the yellow square circled below. This allows you to resize the mask.



Drage the yellow sqares on each side towards the middle until they meet the edges of the green screen.



STEP THREE: Key out the green.

Next, key out the green until it looks like the picture below..



STEP FOUR:Animate the foreground to match the background.

Click on the 3D SWITCH for the foreground layer shown below.



Then expand to the transform filter by clicking the little triangle shown below



Expand the TRANSFORM filter by clicking the little triangle to the left of it, and click the stopwatch icon next to POSITION to set a keyframe.
