Description

Prefix is a program that fixes corrupted project files that show all your clips as -1. This problem is caused by using MP3s in your projects. The best way to avoid this problem is to convert all your MP3 files to WAV files. I found the best way to do this is to download an MP3 to Wav converter from www.download.com for free.

There is a way to convert your .ppj file into a text file and change some paramaters to fix the problem but the simplest way is to download the PreFix program by Fernando Morgado

What PreFix Does

1- It fixes the -1 problem by reading your ppj and creating a new one with no errors.
2- It allows you to choose what version of premiere you are using: 6.0 or 6.5.
3- It creates an error log you can send to fmorgado@nonoise.net if it doesn't work.

What PreFix Doesn't Do

1- It doesn't damage in any way your original project file. A new one is created.
2- It doesn't guess if the file came from 6.0 or 6.5. You will have to know that to fix the version bug.
3- It doesn't fix the file if there are other problems other than those it was designed to fix.
4- It is guaranteed not to have a virus or add any popup ads to you computer, as long as you download it directly from us!
